Her husband Dan encouraged Marta to learn how to use theirhome computer to design her sweaters. So did her knitting club friend Patty. 'I can do it myself,' Marta insisted. She sat up and began writing and punching buttons on her calculator.

'Do I look like I'm enjoying what I'm doing?'

• the wrist-to-underarm length (make it shorter)
• the wrist circumference (make it larger, because it's now not meant to fit the wrist, but the upper arm)
